There are a total of 220 episodes in the original Naruto anime, which ran from 2004 to 2007.
The sequel, Naruto: Shippuden, has a total of 500 episodes. The sequel aired from 2007 to 2017, which is not surprising given its number of episodes.
The most recent Naruto anime project is a four-episode 20th-anniversary anime special that is set to air in 2023.
