The manga follows an ordinary high school soccer player named Yoichi Isagi who joins the Blue Lock soccer program alongside 299 other players.

In the program, Yoichi fights for his soccer career to become the World's Greatest Egoist Striker, but the road ahead is difficult, and Yoichi must cut many strong players to survive.

There is no time to slack off and relax, for Yoichi will be devoured by the other players hungry for the title!

What to Expect From the Blue Lock Manga

Blue Lock is a soccer-themed sports manga, which is why manga readers can expect to come across soccer-related terms, techniques, and strategies that a non-soccer fan would be unfamiliar with.

Despite this, the manga provides non-soccer fans with the information they need to understand the context of a specific technique or soccer play.

Fortunately, it does not leave its readers in the dark about what is going on in a specific game or conversation.
