Kira Ryosuke, also known as Japan's National Treasure, is an Ace Striker for the Matsukaze Kokuou soccer team.

He is well-known for his pleasant and kind personality, which he extends not only to his teammates but also to his rivals, such as Yoichi.

Despite his almost celebrity status, Kira has a humble personality, making him a likable character in the series.

Aside from his attractive face, his most striking characteristic is his strong belief in the spirit of teamwork.

Kira believes that soccer is played by eleven players working as a team, which contradicts Ego Jinpachi's outlook on the Blue Lock program.

Kira Ryosuke is about to compete in the Nationals with his own team after winning the prefecture finals against Yoichi's team.

However, he receives a letter from the Japan Football Union informing him that he has been invited to become a certified soccer player.

Kira goes to the union the next day, where Yoichi and 298 other players are waiting for the soccer enigma, Ego Jinpachi.

Kira, in particular, confronts Jinpachi for his twisted view of soccer after hearing the goal of the Blue Lock program.

Jinpachi asks Kira to lock off or leave the premises if he doesn't want to stay because their opinions differ.

However, Kira accepts Jinpachi's challenge not to become the World's Greatest Egoist Striker, but to prove Jinpachi's perspectives wrong.

Together with Yoichi, they find themselves inside Team Z's room, which also contains 10 other players.

Unbeknownst to Kira, his soccer career will be forever changed when Ego Jinpachi announces a tag game in which the last player to be made IT will be permanently expelled from the program.

Yes, Kira Ryosuke has been kicked out of the Blue Lock program after Yoichi strikes the ball in his face, making him the final player to be designated as IT inside Team Z's room.

According to the rules of the game, Kira Ryosuke will be locked out or kicked out of the program and will be permanently barred from Japan's national team.

Of course, Kira objected to Jinpachi's twisted rules, saying that Tag has nothing to do with soccer.

He also refuses to accept that his soccer career is over, despite the fact that it has only just begun.

However, Jinpachi responded to each of Kira's complaints by telling him that everything they did in the game and inside the room was related to soccer.

The area and size of the room, it turns out, are exactly the same proportions as that of a penalty area in soccer, where 75% of all goals are scored.

This means that the striker's positioning skills in the penalty area are crucial, which relates to the tag game.

Furthermore, Jinpachi explains that the precision with which shots can be made to hit the moving target, as in the tag game, is what makes it ideal for soccer training.

Worse, Jinpachi informs Kira that the timer he set for the IT to hit someone is 136 seconds, which is the average length of time a player holds the ball during a soccer match.

Jinpachi also teaches Kira that in the game, every second counts, referring to the last second Kira should have used to hit Igarashi instead of being stunned by Yoichi's attack.

Kira Ryosuke eventually walks out of the room defeated and enraged, not only because of Jinpachi but also because of Yoichi Isagi.
