Henry Cavill’s Superman appears in The Flash movie, but only in repurposed Justice League footage and footage on a television screen showing the back of what appears to be his version of Superman.

At the start of the movie, Alfred calls Barry about a “robbery gone wrong” in Gotham City. Barry tells Alfred to ask for help from Superman instead, but it seems that Superman's busy.

Barry looks at the television screen in the café which shows breaking news about a volcanic eruption in Guatemala. He then sees Superman flying around the volcano and using his heat vision.

Barry realizes that Superman's occupied and decides to help with the robbery in Gotham. While Cavill’s face is not seen in the footage, it’s clear that it’s his version of Superman because, at that time, Barry was still in his world, along with DCEU Batman Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons’ Alfred Pennyworth.

Henry Cavill’s Superman also appears in another scene where Barry travels through time. Cavill’s Superman appears in the Speed Force, and it seems that footage from Justice League (2017) was used.

So, Henry Cavill’s Superman does appear in The Flash movie, but not in new scenes.

After Barry travels back in time to save his mother from dying, he ends up in an alternate reality without metahumans. To save that world from General Zod, he asks for the help of that world’s Batman, who turns out to be Michael Keaton’s Batman.

Barry realizes that General Zod is looking for Superman and that the latter is probably still incognito. Barry then tells his alternate version that Superman is the best, while Zod is the worst.

He then explains the events that occurred in Man of Steel (2013), where Zod travels to Earth to turn it into a new Krypton. He then shares that he went to Metropolis to help and ended up saving a kid, but not the kid’s father.

Barry then starts to look for Superman and finds out that he’s supposedly in a Siberian black site. However, when the two versions of The Flash and Michael Keaton’s Batman arrive, they find Supergirl/Kara Zor-El instead.

Later on, when Supergirl fights with General Zod, the latter reveals that he found Kal-El and intercepted his pod, but he wasn’t who they needed. Supergirl yells, “What did you do?” and General Zod responds, “The infant did not survive.”

So, unfortunately, in the alternate timeline, Superman is not alive. But in the present-day timeline (before Barry messes things up), Superman is still out there saving the world, based on the television footage seen in the café where Barry was.
