We're only a couple of weeks from the theatrical release of The Flash and despite all the controversies its lead star Ezra Miller is facing, excitement is off the charts for what is being dubbed one of the best superhero films ever created.

Over the last couple of weeks, a who's who of Hollywood icons — from Stephen King to Tom Cruise has offered their praises for the Andy Muschietti-directed flick. Folks who were fortunate enough to see it before its theatrical debut have also been raving about the film nonstop.

Turns out, even former Superman actor Henry Cavill has already seen the film and even gave Supergirl actress Sasha Calle his seal of approval.

At the global press event for The Flash (via Twitter user @HablemosdecineX), Supergirl actress Sasha Calle was asked if she turned to Melissa Benoist and Henry Cavill for advice. According to her, the star of CW's Supergirl series had nothing but kind words to say about her when she learned about her casting.

As for the former Superman actor, it turns out that Cavill has already seen the DCU flick and actually "loved" it.

Calle shared: "Henry Cavill is the best. He saw the movie and it was a love. He gave me a hug and congratulated me. He LOVED the movie and to me, you know, as the multiverse is, it meant a lot, to have Superman say that I did super well and he loved the movie. There was a lot of support and a lot of love."

It's worth mentioning that Cavill was supposed to appear in The Flash but his cameo was reportedly scrapped from the final cut. Still, Cavill going out of his way to support the film despite his messy DC exit just goes to show that there's no bad blood between him and the studio, at least that's what we're hoping.

DC's The Flash hits theaters on June 16th.
