Dwarves are a staple in fantasy, adventure, and isekai anime thanks to their unmatched craftsmanship and short stature, which makes them easily recognizable. From TenSura's Kaijin to Mushoku Tensei's Talhand, here are the most iconic dwarf anime characters, like Delicious in Dungeon's Senshi.

Senshi is one of the hottest dwarf anime characters of the current generation.

He may be awkward and reckless at times, but his personality and overall features already cement him as one of the most iconic anime dwarves of all time.

  1. Frieren's Eisen

Eisen is the stalwart warrior of the Hero Party in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, known for his strength, wisdom, and dedication to his friends and their mission to take down the Demon King.

He is one of the most vital members of the Hero Party, even though he is a man of few words who prefers to let his actions speak for him.

His role in the series extends beyond his time with Himmel and the others, as he became Stark's mentor, in addition to giving Frieren some guidance and support as she grapples with grief over losing her friends.

  2. Delicious in Dungeon's Namari

For some, Namari may be the female counterpart of Senshi, except she's clueless about monster cuisine and only knows how to eat.

She was once a member of Laios' party but left due to her dire need for money after the Red Dragon devoured Falin.

Now, Namari is a member of the Tansu party as they traverse the dungeon to research everything there is to know about magic and curses.

Namari is known for her love of weapons, going so far as to scold Senshi about his poorly-conditioned axe.

  3. TenSura's Kaijin

Kaijin is the highly skilled blacksmith working under Rimuru Tempest in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

He was initially working for King Gazel Dwargo in the Dwarf Kingdom, but not until he was exiled due to Vesta's foolish actions.

He is one of the best, perhaps the most talented, blacksmiths and craftsmen in the Jura Tempest Federation, capable of building the most important infrastructure as well as crafting the sharpest and most effective swords for the federation.

He also takes on the role of mentor, training other aspiring craftsmen regardless of where they come from.

  4. TenSura's Gazel Dwargo

Next on the list is none other than King Gazel Dwargo from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

He is the mighty ruler of the Dwarven Kingdom, which symbolizes the strength, honor, and wisdom of the entire Dwarven race.

He has a good relationship with Rimuru and the Jura Tempest Federation, even though he had a lot of doubts at first.

Whenever Rimuru is in trouble, King Gazel is ready to help him by sending some of the best members of his troops, going so far as to fight for him on the frontlines.

In addition to their diplomatic relationship, King Gazel also offers advice and guidance to Rimuru about the complexities of politics and governance, drawing on his vast experience as a king and a warrior.

  5. Mushoku Tensei's Talhand

Talhand the Clifftop breaks stereotypes about dwarf anime characters due to his stubborn personality, interest in learning wind and water magic, and obvious distaste for traditional blacksmithing.

Still, he has the same characteristics as other dwarves in that he loves alcohol and likes to deal with rocks and iron.

At some point, Talhand became part of Paul Greyrat's party known as Fang of the Black Wolf, alongside Ghislaine Didoldia and Geese Nukadia.

  6. Overlord's Gondo Firebeard

Gondo Firebeard hails from the Azellisian Mountain Range, where Ainz Ooal Gown recruited him to revive the lost art of runecraft, despite his initial suspicions about the overpowered undead.

His craftsmanship skills are put to use in Nazarick, where Ainz asked him to fulfill his lifelong mission of rune crafting.

Though he feels his rune crafting skills are inferior, Ainz believes that he could improve, making their relationship beneficial in the long run.

Gondo not only became Ainz's loyal follower, but he also deflected against the Dwarf Kingdom and the Regency Council.

  7. Goblin Slayer's Dwarf Shaman

Unlike the other anime dwarves on our list, Goblin Slayer's Dwarf Shaman has a good sense of humor and a jovial personality, in addition to his love for alcohol.

He is a wise and seasoned adventurer who also became part of the Goblin Slayer's party.

His contributions to the Goblin Slayer's party make him an invaluable character in the narrative.

His abilities, on the other hand, lean on runic spells and stone (earth)-based magic that is both useful when fighting goblins and other monstrous threats.

  8. In the Land of Leadale's Kartatz

From blacksmithing to engineering, Kartatz' expertise extends across various disciplines, making him a valuable asset in the immersive world of Leadale.

His exceptional craftsmanship as well as his diverse talent help push the boundaries of what is possible within Leadale's confines.

His pursuit of excellence and thirst for knowledge fuels him to explore new techniques and use unconventional materials to craft legendary weapons and artifacts sought by adventurers and warriors.
