Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, as the title implies, focuses on Frieren’s journey and not the end of it.
Together with her apprentice Fern, Frieren embarks on a quest to acquire magic, get to know humans better, and retrace the steps the Hero’s Party took before they fade away.

Where Is Aureole?
According to The Great Flamme Mage’s notes, Aureole is located somewhere at the northernmost end of the continent, in Ende, where the Demon King Castle is located in the present day.
To get to Ende, Frieren and Fern have to go to the Wille Region, move past the Riegel Canyons, and go across the checkpoint to the Northern Countries.
The journey sounds simple, but it took a decade for the Hero’s Party to get there in the past.
This means that Frieren and Fern will be together for a very long time, and by the time they get there, Fern will be a much different person.
In the Frieren manga series, Frieren and Fern are joined by Stark, Eisen’s disciple, on their journey to Aureole.
The cigarette and alcohol-loving priest, Sein, also joined Frieren’s party later in the series in his attempt to track down his missing childhood friend.
But before they all reach Aureole, Frieren’s Party will go past various regions, villages, and roads in the Northern Countries like Decke, Rad, Laub Hill, Bande Woods, Village of the Swords, and more.
What Lies in Aureole?
Aureole is a place that the ordinary people of the world simply refer to as Heaven. It is the land where souls rest and a place where innumerable souls gather.
Based on Flamme’s records, Aureole is a mystical place where Flamme managed to speak with her former comrades.
And now that Flamme has passed away with old age, her soul rests in Aureole, along with the hero Himmel, both of whom are significantly connected with Frieren.
At first, Frieren was hesitant to go to Aureole, but upon hearing the efforts made by Heiter and Eisen, she decided to head over to heaven, even though she was skeptical about it.
Eisen believed that going to Aureole would vanquish the regret Frieren felt when Himmel died. After all, Frieren lamented the fact that she failed to get to know everything about Himmel when he was alive and well.
Perhaps Eisen and Heiter anticipated that a reunion between Frieren and Himmel would be an important event in the elven mage’s development in the series.
So, Does Frieren Reach Aureole?
Frieren, along with Fern, Stark, and Sein, are expected to reach Aureole in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End after their long and arduous journey together. Their deplorable but fun journey will be full of fascinating experiences.
From Stark and Fern’s love-hate relationship to Frieren and Sein’s humorous remarks toward each other, the journey to Aureole will be entertaining for readers and viewers alike.
Not to mention, Frieren’s Party will also come face-to-face with various demons, particularly the Seven Sages of Destruction, whose members use different kinds of magic.
There will be more stories to tell, not only about the timeless adventures of the Hero’s Party but also about Frieren and her new comrades.
