We already know that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has been confirmed for a third season. But what exactly can we expect in the Swordsmith Village arc? Fans who have been reading the manga are understandably excited about Season 3 considering that the ninth arc features a major face reveal and this one is going to be truly jaw-dropping! WATCH OUT! POSSIBLE DEMON SLAYER SEASON 3 SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
The face reveals in Demon Slayer are never disappointing. This was especially true in the first season when the Boar Mask Guy aka Inosuke Hashibira lost his headgear and was revealed to have a surprisingly good-looking and oddly feminine face.
So are we set for another major face reveal in Demon Slayer Season 3? Since we know the third season will adapt the Swordsmith Village arc, it is finally time to know more about the swordsmiths who force the Nichirin blades for the Demon Slayers Corps. In the manga, this is the arc where Tanjiro Kamado's hot-tempered swordsmith is finally unmasked.
We won't spoil the details on how Hotaru Haganezuka loses his mask, but here are a few interesting details about the swordsmith. As confirmed in Season 2, Haganezuka's favorite food is mitarashi dango (sweet glazed rice dumplings in a stick, as pictured above) and is one of the best ways to get him to calm down when he gets angry. Haganezuka also hates his first name Hotaru (it means firefly) because everyone thinks it is cute.
Perhaps the most important detail about Haganezuka right now is that he plays a major role in the Swordsmith Village arc. With that in mind, fans should be ready to see what he looks like under the mask when Demon Slayer Season 3 finally drops in the future.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is expected to be one of the returning anime that will be part of the Winter 2023 line-up.
