Chainsaw Man Season 2 Might NOT Bring Back Director Ryu Nakayama
The reports surfaced over the weekend claiming that Chainsaw Man will be taking a different direction with Season 2. This immediately led to rumors that Ryu Nakayama will not be directing the second season.
But why would MAPPA decide against having Ryu Nakayama work on Chainsaw Man Season 2? It is believed that the director is being tasked with the studio's other big projects like the second half of Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3.
For now, the reports are unconfounded but that didn't stop fans from worrying about the future of Chainsaw Man.
There haven't been any updates on Chainsaw Man Season 2 just yet. Although the anime had a special panel at MAPPA Stage 2023, there were no major updates about the second season.
Chainsaw Man's MAPPA Stage 2023 panel was attended by Kikunosuke Toya, Shogo Sakata, and Fairouz Ai. Makima VA Tomori Kusunoki was initially set to join the panel but was cancelled at the last minute due to poor health.
