Chainsaw Man Anime Promotional Video, Staff Revealed at MAPPA Stage 2021

The first promotional video (PV) for Chainsaw Man has been revealed during the MAPPA Stage 10th anniversary event on Sunday, including a list of the production staff.

The Chainsaw Man panel at the event featured Manabu Otsuki (MAPPA CEO) and Shihei Hayashi (Shōnen Jump editor-in-chief). A Q&A session with the mangaka, Tatsuki Fujimoto, was also presented. It was announced that a new one-shot by Fujimoto will be published on the Shōnen Jump+ App on July 19th.

Here is Viz Media's description of the manga:

"Denji's a poor young man who'll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He's a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he's betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji's become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!"

Chainsaw Man started serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in December 2018. Part 1 of the manga ended with 97 chapters last December 2020. It is part of the top five best-selling manga in Japan for the first half of the year, selling over 4 million copies.
