JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is an anime series by David Production that’s based on the iconic manga of the same name by Hirohiko Araki.

The manga is divided into different parts, with the first six parts being part of the same continuity.

JoJo began with Part 1 entitled Phantom Blood back in 1987. This was followed by other parts, with the initial continuity ending with Part 6: Stone Ocean.

Parts 7 and 8 are set in a different universe but feature similar aspects like Stands.

In 2012, an anime adaptation of Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency was released by David Production.

The studio continued to animate the subsequent parts of JoJo, with the latest being Stone Ocean.

Netflix handled the release of Stone Ocean worldwide, and its first 12 episodes were released on December 1, 2021. Episodes 13-24 were then released on September 1, 2022.

Finally, Episodes 25-38 were released on Netflix today. This release schedule is unusual as typical anime shows have weekly episode releases.

A sizeable number of fans have criticized the decision to go with this release format.

Stone Ocean’s main character, Jolyne Cujoh, is voiced by Ai Fairouz, a Japanese voice actress who first gained popularity for her role as Hibiki Sakura in How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?

As a fan of JoJo from back in her high school days, the role of Jolyne is something dear to Fairouz.

Ahead of the final episodes’ release, Fairouz shared on Twitter a snippet from her diary.

In the diary entry, she detailed how she was crying while writing it and how nervous she was while auditioning for Jolyne.

Though she was able to use this frustration to fuel her performance.

Along with the diary entry, Fairouz also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of the last episode’s dubbing session.

The photo shows an emotional Fairouz crying as this is the last recording session and marks the end of her journey as Jolyne.
