Black Adam Producers Confirm Two Incoming Red Notice Sequels

Black Adam producers Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia recently had an interview with Collider on talks about incoming Red Notice sequels — 2, to be exact. Flynn and Garcia have always been up-to-date on Dwayne Johnson's projects and produced several titles led by Johnson, including Hercules, Baywatch, Rampage, and the NBC series Young Rock.

According to Flynn, ‘The sequels are heating up’ and a new draft of the script is coming their way ‘very soon’:

“Well, we have a Red Notice 2 script and almost [Red Notice] 3. The plan is hopefully if Hiram and I have our way that we would make those movies back to back. But it’s going to be all about the scripts and how we feel and how Dwayne, Gal, and Ryan feel about them. But that franchise is a blast and obviously Netflix really wants it, and Rawson [Marshall Thurber, director and screenwriter] is committed.”

Garcia adds:

“Yeah, Rawson (Marshall Thurber) is working away and we were just talking to him about it the other day. He’s deep in it and that’s his baby. So, he’s grinded away. We’re excited to be able to get into it and see a new draft that he’s about to deliver to us very soon.”

Red Notice premiered on Netflix back in 2021 and became one of the most-watched movies ever on the platform, so it makes sense to capitalize on the hype and make more sequels starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds on continuing their journey together on screen.

Red Notice sequels are still in the making, but we can definitely assume that it follows the plot of the first film, from its logline: 'In a world of international crime, an interpol agent (Johnson) attempts to hunt down and capture the world's most wanted art thief (Reynolds).'

Filming ‘back-to-back sequels’ are sure to take some money and time off compared to shooting them separately. It might also come in handy for the actors so that they won’t have as much of a difficult time coordinating with each others’ schedules for other projects. Meanwhile, Johnson will be making his DC debut this October 21 with Black Adam, Reynolds with Deadpool 3 and Hugh Jackman reprising his Wolverine role, and Gadot is up for Cleopatra in an upcoming biopic.
