Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe just started earlier this year and if you've been paying close attention to everything that's happening, it's already looking pretty evident that one character will play a major factor in shaping up the future of the Marvel multiverse and that is of course none other than Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch.
Currently, the character played by Elizabeth Olsen in the billion-dollar franchise is causing mayhem all over Westview via the hit Disney+ series WandaVision and considering the show sets up films like Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it's almost safe to assume that we'll be seeing more of the Sokovian Avenger but how everything plays out still remains to be seen.
Now, according to a new scoop from insider Daniel Richtman (via Patreon), the MCU's fourth phase will, in fact, revolve around the Scarlet Witch, and while he didn't go into detail about Wanda's potential role in the franchise heading forward, the answer can definitely be found in WandaVision which will mark Maximoff's transition to becoming the Scarlet Witch.
Of course, just like any other rumor, take this one with a huge grain of salt but when you think about it, Maximoff being at the center of everything in the MCU's Phase 4 isn't something that is too farfetched to believe especially if you know a little history about the iconic Marvel character.
The question is, will she end up playing hero or villain? Sure, the last episode of WandaVision revealed that Agatha Harkness was behind all of the chaos that has been haunting Wanda's pocket reality and while Maximoff could end up going toe-to-toe with the powerful witch, the possibility that she'll end up becoming a villain herself still isn't out of the question.
