Love will soon be in the air again as XO, Kitty Season 2 has started production in its hometown of Seoul, South Korea. There will be new faces joining Kitty and the rest of the gang, with the addition of three new cast members: Audrey Huynh, Sasha Bashin and Joshua Lee.

Huynh will be the series regular Stella, while Bhasin and Lee will play the recurring roles of Praveena and Jin, respectively.

The three will be joining the first season's returning cast members: Anna Cathcart as Kitty, Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Peter Thurnwald as Alex, and Regan Aliyah as Juliana.

What to Expect from XO, Kitty Season 2?

Details about XO, Kitty Season 2 remain under wraps, but fans can expect Kitty’s romantic journey to continue.

After the cliffhanging first season finale, in which Kitty and Dae break up and she realises she has feelings for Yuri, Kitty may pursue that relationship when the show returns.

However, when Min Ho confesses her love for Kitty, things may have become confusing for the main character.

In an interview, Cathcart told UsWeekly that she wanted her character to follow her heart. “I just want her to follow what feels right for her,” she said.

If Kitty finally ends up doing what she wants, the actress will support her all the way.

However, for Cathcart, it doesn’t mean Kitty has to have a significant other. She believes her role doesn’t always need to be with someone.

“I think Kitty’s story is kind of a love letter to the world,” she continued.

In a different interview with Tudum, Cathcart revealed Kitty still has a lot to explore. What she experiences at KISS changes everything she believes in, and she realises love can blossom in different ways.

“By the end, she’s like, ‘I literally have no idea about anything. I am figuring it out. There are so many new people now that are a possibility,’” she said. “To see her world expand is a huge, huge difference and will be a really fun thing to follow.”

XO, Kitty is a spin-off of the Netflix adaptation of the To All the Boys film series, based on the book trilogy To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, created by Jenny Han.

The first season saw the teen matchmaker, Kitty, thinking she knew everything about love and going halfway across the world to be with her long-distance boyfriend, Dae.

However, she later realised that relationships were more complicated than she thought when her heart was on the line.

With the first season’s success, accumulating 72.1 million hours of views within its first week of release and making it on Netflix’s Top 10 list in 90 countries, it was no surprise that it was renewed.

The streamer shared a video of the series cast to announce the continuation of Kitty’s story in XO, Kitty Season 2.

“Season two of XO, Kitty is officially happening,” Cathcart said. “I am so, so excited. Thank you so much to everybody who watched season one. We cannot wait to do it again.”

Netflix has yet to announce when XO, Kitty Season 2 will be released. The first season is now available to stream.
