The latest episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 was an eye-opening one as Naofumi Iwatani and his party continued to face Kyo Ethnina. It also led to a new story arc as Naofumi and his companions find themselves following Kyo into the former hero's parallel world where they are set to meet some interesting new characters. A new key visual hypes up the next part of the second season with an awesome glimpse at new characters including Kizuna Kazayama!
The new key visual was shared ahead of the premiere of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 7. The image features Naofumi and his party looking up at a levitating Kyo. They are joined by some interesting new characters including Kizuna, who is expected to make her anime debut later this week!
We also got a new character information card for Kizuna, who will be played by Miyu Tomita. Kizuna is the Hunting Hero who is one of the four Legendary Heroes of the parallel world. Since it was confirmed that Naofumi, Raphtalia, Filo, and Rishia have gone to the parallel world, it shouldn't be a huge surprise that Kizuna will finally show up in the anime.
It's great to know that Kizuna is making her anime debut this week and we're excited to finally see her in action. In the manga, Kizuna plays an important role in the continuing fight against Kyo so we can't wait to see what the Hunting Hero is capable of in the upcoming episodes.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 7 is titled Infinite Labyrinth ("Mugenmeikyū") and will reveal what happened when Naofumi's party crossed over into the parallel world in pursuit of Kyo. The episode will be broadcast on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
