The apocalyptic world of Dr. Stone starts off with a catastrophe known as petrification that turns every human into a stone statue, in other words -- dead. However, people can be revived or depetrified in this world, so who dies and who survives in Dr. Stone?

Does Senku Ishigami Die?

Senku Ishigami is the main protagonist and probably the smartest character in Dr. Stone.

He was depetrified and later, with Taiju’s help, created the Revival Fluid. Currently, Senku is alive in Dr. Stone.

However, there were several instances where he was petrified by other characters but later revived.

In Stone World, he desires to rebuild civilization using the power of science.

The last time he was revived was in the year 5753 by Xeno.

Does Taiju Oki Die?

Taiju Oki is Senku’s ally and shares his dream to revive human civilization by depetrifying everyone.

In the series, Taiju Oki is alive and is working alongside his comrades in Kingdom of Science.

During the series, Taiju is petrified by Kirisame, Ibara, and Whyman, and is subsequently revived by Ryusui and Senku.

He is a diligent worker and earnest toward following Senku’s philosophy of science and humanity.

Does Chrome Die?

Another enthusiastic member of the Kingdom of Science, Chrome started out as Senku’s rival but later bonded with him.

Chrome is currently alive in Dr. Stone. During the series, he was petrified by Ibara and Why-man but revived by Senku on both occasions.

He has an energetic personality and shares a deep understanding and love for science with Senku.

Does Tsukasa Die?

Tsukasa Shisio, who is first showcased as the primary villain, is very much alive in the series.

Initially, he was the leader of the Tsukasa Empire and the main obstacle for Senku’s Kingdom of Science.

He formed his own group to fight against the Kingdom of Science.

Eventually, when Senku saves his life by depetrifying him from the cryogenic state, Tsukaksa becomes part of Senku’s alliance.

He was petrified by the members of the Kingdom of Science and Why-man and was later revived by Senku.

Does Gen Asagiri Die?

Like other major characters in Dr. Stone, Gen Asagiri is alive.

Formerly a member of the Tsukasa Empire, he was persuaded by Senku to join the Kingdom of Science.

Gen is exceptional when it comes to soft skills and is rightfully, one of the Five Wise Commanders.

At different times in the series, Gen was petrified by Ibara, Why-man, and someone unknown.

But he was also revived by Senku on two occasions and the third time by an anonymous being.

Does Ginro Die?

Ginro, who was one of the first villagers to become part of the Kingdom of Science, is alive in the series.

He was petrified twice by Kirisame and Why-man but was revived.

He works alongside Kohaku and Kinro and does all kinds of physical jobs in the Kingdom of Science.

Does Hyoga Die?

Hyoga Akatsuki is a masterful spearsman and was revived by Tsukasa.

He was one of the elite members of the Tsukasa Empire and is currently alive.

Later, he backstabs Tsukasa but is beaten and imprisoned by the Kingdom of Science.

Eventually, he ends up becoming a part of the Kingdom of Science.

In Dr. Stone, he is petrified by Kirisame, Ibare, and Why-man, and he is also killed by Stanley’s squad. But Senku has revived him each time.

It is evident that all the major characters don’t just die in the series. Even if they are killed or petrified, they are revived for various reasons.
