The only downfall of these movies is that they are short. Thankfully, there are TV shows like Only Murders in the Building that satisfy viewers' craving for more murder mysteries.
And while Only Murders in the Building Season 2 has been solved, avid fans can't help but look forward to the next adventure of the unlikely trio.

When Will Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Come Out?
Shortly after Only Murders in the Building Season 2 came out, Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment president Craig Erwich announced that they have renewed the show for a third season. The executive told TVLine:
"Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humor and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan [Fogelman], John [Hoffman], Steve, Marty and Selena’s work. We are grateful to be able to continue telling the stories of Charles, Oliver and Mabel to viewers that have consistently shown us they crave more of this story."
And on January 17, Steve Martin (who plays Charles-Haden Savage in the show) shared a selfie on Twitter that they already started filming.
"The filming of Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building has begun! A cast to dream of."
Unfortunately, there's still no word on when Only Murders in the Building Season 3 will be released. Since the cast and crew only started filming in January, it's possible that they are still in the middle of filming and it will last for a few more months. And after that, the material will have to go through post-production and marketing before it finally gets released.
Judging by the release of the previous two seasons, it's possible that Only Murders in the Building Season 3 could be released in summer 2023.
When it gets released, Only Murders in the Building Season 3 could follow its previous seasons and have a total of 10 suspense-filled episodes.
Where to Watch Only Murders in the Building Season 3?
Since Only Murders in the Building Season 3 has not yet been released, viewers will have to wait until it becomes available. In the meantime, the two previous seasons are exclusively available to stream on Hulu in the US. But for other countries, the show can be streamed on Disney+.
What Is Only Murders in the Building Story About?
Only Murders in the Building is a comedy series that follows three neighbors who share an interest in true crime podcasts. The first season of the show followed the three as they joined forces to investigate a death in the apartment where they reside.
Since Only Murders in the Building Season 3 is still being filmed, we still don't know for sure what its plot will be about. But if the previous season hinted on something, it would be its focus on Oliver (played by Martin Short).
Showrunner John Hoffman told The Hollywood Reporter:
"If season 1 was a little more focused on the emotional storyline for Mabel and Tim Kono, and season 2 was a little more emotionally connected to Charles and his relationship with his father and himself, I’m very excited to both lean into the theatrical side of New York City and also into Oliver and his world."

Hoffman promised Variety of Rudd's involvement in the third season since "he's someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming season 3 -- as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!"
Another celebrity we can expect to see in the third season was revealed by Gomez on her Instagram account. As Gomez says, "The gang is back… Could this honestly get any better?" But after panning the camera, Rudd says "I do think it could get better." And surprise, surprise, it does get better. Meryl Streep pops into the frame and asks the group if they need anything.
Is There a Trailer for Only Murders in the Building Season 3?
Since the show is currently filming, there's still no material to use as a trailer for Only Murders in the Building Season 3. But Hulu released a teaser of the show during the recently concluded Oscars show.
