Wendell and Wild is the brand new horror-themed animated film that will release on Netflix in 2022. Coming from the combined geniuses of Henry Selick and Jordan Peele, the film is already receiving much excitement and buildup from fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Key and Peele combined. Wendell and Wild follow two devil brothers who are conspiring to be summoned into the world of the living. They made a deal with a young girl but they may have bitten off much more than they can chew.

On August 30, the official Twitter account of Netflix Geeked posted a short video of all the horrors we will be treated with when Wendell and Wild premieres.
Wendell and Wild Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Film?
Comedy legends Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who first worked together in creating a comedy sketch series on Comedy Central called Key & Peele, will reunite to re-invent their signature humor for Wendell and Wild. Playing as the two titular characters, with Key playing Wendell and Peele playing Wild, we are surely in for a hilarious treat.
They are joined by Lyric Ross, who plays Kat Elliot, the young girl who strikes a deal with the demon brothers. We will also see Angela Basset as Sister Helley and James Hong as Father Bests.
The rest of the cast includes Sam Zelaya as Raul, Ving Rhames as Buffalo Belzer, and Seema Virdi, Tamara Smart, and Ramona Young playing Sloane, Siobhan, and Sweetie, respectively.
Wendell and Wild Crew: Who are the Creative Minds Behind the Scenes of the Animation?
Oscar Nominee Henry Selick, who is perhaps best known for The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline, wrote the script for Wendell and Wild with Jordan Peele, now a renowned director with another upcoming movie called Nope. When the animated film was first announced in 2015, the project was not connected to Netflix yet, but the streaming service picked up the film sometime after.
When Selick gave a tour for Polygon, he shared that he has 'through hell and back' during the production of Wendell and Wild.
Argentinian artist Pablo Lobato designed the characters of the film. Wendell and Wild will be produced by Peele, Selick, and The Gotham Group.
Wendell and Wild Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Animated Film?
Wendell and Wild tells the story of two demon brothers who made a deal with Kat Elliot. Kat is an angsty teenage girl who carries a lot of guilt with her while working as the acolyte to Sister Helley, a nun who works to bust demons with a vengeance. So far, this is all we know about the movie, but with Selick directing the film and Peele lending a hand in writing the script, we can ensure that Wendell and Wild will be spooky, witty, and full of hilarity.

Wendel and Wild was part of Netflix’s 2022 Movie Premiere. The streaming site’s movie premiere includes other movies that will debut on the streaming site this year such as The Gray Man, Day Shift, The School for Good and Evil, Spiderhead, The Mother, and The Sea Beast. Kat's Boombox
Meanwhile, one ongoing promotional campaign Wendell and Wild has been doing is posting an animated video featuring Kat’s boombox. The boombox plays five punk rock songs from Kat’s playlist: “Warrior” by Sate, “Fall Asleep” by Big Joanie, “Freaking Out” by Death, “Saltwater Sky” by Nafets (which is an unreleased track), and “How Low Can A Punk Get” by Bad Brains.
