The Shelby family is finally back in town with the release of Peaky Blinders Season 6 on Netflix.

The series first premiered on BBC in 2013 and has continued to release new seasons since then.

Peaky Blinders follows the lives of the Shelby family, led by Tommy Shelby. The Shelby's are of Irish descent and also happen to be Gypsys. They hold a strong and extended influence over a large part of Birmingham and London.

Over the past seasons, the Shelby family has gained new members and lost loved ones. Tommy does his best to protect his family and remain in control, but he can only do so much. By season 5, Tommy has an entanglement with a politician, and his reactions will determine the future of the entire nation.

Now that Peaky Blinders is set to return to Netflix in June 2022, here is everything we know to help prepare to welcome Peaky Blinders Season 6.

This season will continue from where the fifth season ended, with Tommy holding a gun against his head, ready to die. Throughout the entire season, we may see Tommy Shelby continue building his career as a politician as he continues running all of his illegal businesses underground in Birmingham.

In his interview with Variety, Cillian Murphy shared his thoughts about the new season of Peaky Blinders:

I think this is the culmination of the series that hopefully improves upon the last season and makes the most recent one the richest and deepest one that we possibly can," he told the outlet. "I think we are determined to make this a special series, and we have been extra committed to working hard. I think the fans will be pleased!

We may also learn more about the different members of the Shelby family. There have been reports about more Shelby children turning up in season 6. It will also be interesting to see how the women in the family are being given more agency to hold power in the businesses. Adad Shelby-Thorne has certainly shown her potential as a leader and continues to be the guiding eyes that are only second to Tommy.

The plot of Peaky Blinders Season 6 has also taken a completely different turn with the death of actress Helen McCroy who played the Shelby family matriarch, Polly. Polly had a great role in running the business and keeping the family intact, and the writers may have to assign this responsibility to someone else, presumably Ada.

How will the gypsy family fates fare out in season 6? We can hardly wait to know.
