After the recent announcement of Disney and Kodansha’s partnership, Tokyo Revengers finally confirmed the January 2023 release date for Season 2, and it will be streamed on Disney+ alongside its Japanese TV broadcast.
The season’s release date and streaming information were revealed via the official Tokyo Revengers website and Twitter account.
On the website, the complete list of networks and streaming platforms that will release the series is listed.
UPDATE (January 3, 2023): While season 2 will stream on Disney+ in other regions, in the US, Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will be streamed on Hulu.
Disney+ Teams Up With Kodansha
Over the past years, competing streaming platforms have started to beef up their anime content lineup given the increasing popularity of the medium worldwide.
Among these platforms is Disney+ as The Walt Disney Company recently announced an expansion to its existing content partnership with Japanese publisher Kodansha.
As the owner of iconic anime and manga titles like Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, and others, Kodansha has a roster of titles with lots of fans.
Given this, it’s no surprise to see Disney expand its partnership as it looks to add even more anime content.
While the complete list of titles that are included in the partnership wasn’t revealed, it was announced that the upcoming Tokyo Revengers season will be released on Disney+ as part of the deal.
Specifically, anime fans outside Japan will be able to stream the show’s second season on Disney’s streaming service.
While not yet confirmed, Disney+ may be the exclusive place to watch the show.
Tokyo Revengers being a highlighted part of the deal comes as no surprise, especially given the series’ popularity.
For instance, the manga is the second best-selling series of 2022 in Japan based on the latest Oricon report.

Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Release Date
While the show coming to Disney+ was confirmed a few weeks ago, it is only now that the second season’s release date was confirmed.
The show's broadcast time on various Japanese networks was also confirmed.
Tokyo Revengers Season 2 will get a TV broadcast on January 7, 2023, at 26:08 JST (technically January 8 at 2:08 AM JST).
An hour later, the season’s first episode will be released on Disney+ and various streaming platforms in Japan.
