The live-action Tokyo Revengers sequels are officially coming next year and we just got a great update on the movies. The two films, which will adapt the manga's Bloody Halloween arc, just got official titles and a key visual.
The key visual was shared by the official Tokyo Revengers movie Twitter account and it features Takemichi Hanagaki shaking Naoto Tachibana's hand. The poster also confirmed that the two sequels will be titled Bloody Halloween ("Chi no Halloween"), albeit with different subtitles.
Tokyo Revengers 2-Part Sequel Official Titles Revealed
The first movie is Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween - Fate ("Chi no Halloween - Unmei") while the second one is Tokyo Revengers: Bloody Halloween - Decisive Battle ("Chi no Halloween - Kessen"). Bloody Halloween - Fate will hit theaters in Spring 2023 during Japan's Golden Week and the second movie is set to premiere in Summer 2023.
Both films will bring back Takumi Kitamura, who was previously confirmed as the lead in Netflix's Yu Yu Hakusho live-action series. Kitamura will reprise his role as Takemichi Hanagaki alongside Ryo Yoshizawa and Yuki Yamada, who will return as Mikey and Draken, respectively. Director Tsutomu Hanabusa and producer Shota Okada are also returning for both movies.
While fans still have high hopes for the live-action films, manga readers have been dismayed with how Ken Wakui concluded the story. The final chapter of the manga was released earlier this month and the conclusion has displeased fans so much that Tokyo Revengers is now being touted as having the worst ending in manga history.
