An indefinite hiatus was given to the manga of Tokyo Revengers after the series gets its production affected by COVID-19. The return date of the manga is yet unknown and it remains hanging in the middle of the final story arc following Takemichi Hanagaki having a do-over of his life and trying to change the future through the past.
In a report from Siliconera, reputable manga industry leak Ryokyuta2089 came with the news that the manga of Tokyo Revengers needed to go into an indefinite hiatus and the main concern is that the series’ production was plagued by COVID-19. While in the report, it was not specifically stated who among the people behind the manga got the virus, it was expressly stated that the sickness made it hard for the continuation of the production.
This is not the first time that the beloved title was affected by COVID-19. The live-action movie of Tokyo Revengers got delayed as well due to the same issue, production roadblocks, due to the pandemic and the lockdowns that came with it. The movie got out in 2021 and it was hailed the highest-grossing live-action film in the country.

Tokyo Revengers is a shōnen manga series by Ken Wakui published in the Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. It started publishing way back 2017 and to date, it has been compiled into 22 tankōbon volumes. It had an anime adaptation which is still streaming its whole Season 1 on Crunchyroll.
Tokyo Revengers follow Takemichi’s life spiraling down and it even became worse upon hearing the news about his ex-girlfriend Hinata Tachibana, who gruesomely died at the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang, the notorious group of criminals breaking the peace of the community. Takemichi got to time-travel 12 years back to the time when he is still with Hinata and with a new chance, he wouldn’t stop until he re-writes the story and prevents the brutal future ahead.
