Thor: Love and Thunder: Here Are the Confirmed Cosmic Entities in the Trailer

A lot of Easter eggs are dropped by the first official trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder which may have bearing for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As one point of the teaser, there’s Jane, wielding the re-forged Mjolnir in what seems to be like a temple, where it is confirmed that cosmic entities are coming soon.

Thor: Love and Thunder has a lot of things going on. Aside from Jane Foster being the Mighty Thor, there’s Thor on his way to finding his true self and some inner peace, there’s the introduction of the Greek gods into the franchise, and the arrival of Christian Bale’s much-anticipated villain, Gorr the God Butcher.

Other than all of those, the trailer also confirms the existence of some cosmic entities from the comic books. In a scene from the trailer where Jane wields the re-forged Mjolnir, she is in some kind of a temple with huge heads on the side and these faces are quite familiar, some even already seen in the MCU.

On the right side, there’s the three-headed bust that confirms the looming arrival of the character that is supposed to debut in Avengers: Infinity War but the idea was scrapped: The Living Tribunal. They have been teased in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, too, in a reality that America Chavez and Doctor Strange passed by.

Beside The Living Tribunal is Uatu, the Watcher, who has been one of the main characters in What If..? Uatu, the Watcher, looks over the different realities in the multiverse and in the series, he finally intervenes and breaks his oath to prevent Ultron-Vision from taking over the multiverse.

On the left side are The Living Tribunal’s co-members of the Abstract Entities: Death, Infinity, and the one farthest could be either Eternity or Oblivion. In the comics, the Abstract Entities answer to the One-Above-All to ensure that the grand scheme of things are in place. There’s one spot empty on the side of Uatu so that might be for the other Abstract Entity.

Will these cosmic beings debut in live-action on Thor: Love and Thunder?

Thor: Love and Thunder premieres in theaters on July 8, 2022.
