It's almost time for another episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 and things are getting exciting as Naofumi Iwatani and his party managed to escape the Infinite Labyrinth with Kizuna Kazayama. Not surprisingly, the preview for Episode 8 teases Kizuna working with Naofumi and his companions as they make their way through an unfamiliar city. However, the teaser also ends on a heartbreaking note as Raphtalia is shown with tears in her eyes.
The preview for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8 shows Kizuna and Naofumi's party walking into a new town and selling medicine to the locals. However, Rishia Ivyred trips and drops the medicine just as she is handing it over to their customers. Nevertheless, it seems to end well despite the sudden appearance of someone Naofumi's party is supposed to know.
There is a lot of focus on Raphtalia in the teaser and it hauntingly ends with her looking back with tears in her eyes. Those who have read the manga already know what happens to the demi-human in this part of the storyline but we won't spoil it for those who have been watching the anime exclusively. With that in mind, fans should watch out for the upcoming episode of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2.
The previous episode of the anime introduced Kizuna, the Hunting Hero who was imprisoned in the Infinite Labyrinth. With the help of Naofumi and his party, she managed to escape the labyrinth and is now determined to go back home to her people.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8 is titled A Parting in the Snow ("Yuki no Wakare") and is expected to adapt the manga's 66th chapter and a few more. The episode will air on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
