Based on previous episode releases, we expect The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8’s English dub to be released on Wednesday, June 22.
The English dub of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 was announced in early May, with the first episode premiering on May 4.
Episode 4’s English dub is expected to air on the same day as episode 8’s subtitled release. New episodes of the Shield Hero dub are expected weekly.
What to Expect from The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8
It’s difficult to know what to expect from The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 8 based on the previous episode, but that’s part of what makes this new arc so promising.
Like many fans, I was critical of the start of this second season (see Why is Shield Hero Season 2 So Bad). However, re-isekai-ing Naofumi and his group has given the series something of a reset at a great time.
Episode 7 was very good, at least in comparison to what’s come before. With Naofumi and everyone else’s levels reset in the new world, it feels more like the series we enjoyed at the very beginning of season 1, with some added gloss.
The new Hunting Hero is an interesting character and has good chemistry with Naofumi. I’m excited to see how they explore the new world with fresh eyes and plenty of challenges along the way.
