The Post-Credits Scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Explained

It is a classic touch for any Marvel Cinematic Universe project to have post-credits scene, if lucky, there would be two and fortunately, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has two, one during the mid-credits and the other for the post-credits.

The mid-credits finally introduced Clea in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and she is perfect! Portrayed by Charlize Theron, Clea is the sorceress supreme of the Dark Dimension and she interrupts Doctor Strange for his morning walk by telling him that he caused an incursion that needs to be fixed. She opens a portal to the Dark Dimension and Strange proudly opens his third eye, the Eye of Agamotto.

Her arrival in the MCU means so much considering that her character is pivotal to Strange and his adventures in the multiverse. Clea even became Strange’s wife in the comics and with Christine Palmer getting married, the cinematic universe can now explore on this storyline.

The post-credits scene gives the Sam Raimi touch of the film with the awesome cameo of Bruce Campbell as a seller of Pizza Poppa in Earth 838 who Strange gave a spell to punch himself for a good three weeks. In the hilarious end credits scene, he shouts for joy with the words, “it’s over,” declaring that the movie also ends there.

With Doctor Strange going with Clea in the Dark Dimension, there remains a possibility that Doctor Strange will be having his threequel but it would not be until a few years before we witness that. First, Benedict Cumberbatch would be taking a break.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now in theaters.
