In The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 4, The Whole World is Watching, we're brought back to six years ago in Wakanda where Bucky was in recluse recovering from the trauma he had as the Winter Soldier, Ayo speaks the words of control on Bucky taking him back to the memories of the time he got no control of, Bucky was in tears and Ayo declares, "You Are Free."

We're taken back to the present where Ayo confronts Bucky why he freed Zemo and Bucky says he's their lead in finding out about the Super Soldier serum that Karli Morgenthau and the Flag Smashers stole. 8 hours, they were given 8 hours by the Dora Milaje until they intercept and take Zemo.

Bucky, Sam, and Zemo proceed to a refuge center for internationally displaced people asking for Donya Madani, the person who took in Karli and the rest, cared for them, and fed them when they got nowhere else to go. The mention of her name continuously shy people away but Zemo found a way to get to Karli, through bribing a little girl with Turkish delight. (Sleek move, Zemo.)

Back to Zemo's place, he holds Bucky and Sam hostage with the information he has on the funeral. Zemo asks Sam if he was offered the serum where Sam answers no without any hesitation. Zemo refers to Karli as a supremacist and says that Super Soldiers are not allowed to exist. On their way to the funeral, John Walker and Lemar Hoskins intercepted them and Sam convinces them that his expertise in talking with people who had trauma could help.

When Walker was adamant, he was convinced by Hoskins that there may be a chance on the plan of Sam. They got ten minutes to talk with Karli. When they arrived, Zemo was cuffed and only Sam gets in. Sam witnessed the funeral of Donya Madani where Karli was giving a heartfelt eulogy when Sam caught her attention.

The talk went well, to say the least. Sam says he understands Karli and her cause, just not her means. Sam even shared how Zemo called her a supremacist, something she completely disagrees with. Sam was about to win Karli's trust when Walker intervened placing Karli under arrest. Karli was back on the run and she had a face to face with Zemo who shoots at her and destroyed all vials but one when Walker, again, intercepted. (Walker, all you do is intervene, seriously. Are you Captain Intervenor?)

Walker found the last vial and puts it in his pocket when Sam and Bucky arrived. Karli escaped with a gunshot wound. She had an idea how to reach Sam, something he would not say no to. Karli then receives a message from the Power Broker saying he's coming for her.

Meanwhile, back on Zemo's place, things heated up with Sam, Bucky, and Walker when the Dora Milaje arrives. Walker said that they have no jurisdiction on the place and Ayo immediately replies they have jurisdiction wherever they set foot. Things went awry, and Zemo took the commotion as his chance to escape.

Ayo removes the hand of Bucky and he was startled how they can do that to him. (It's their tech, remember?) After his encounter with the Dora Milaje, Walker was on his knees saying "they weren't even Super Soldiers." Walker tells he cannot even fight the Dora Milaje on his own which is indicative of his plan on the vial he took. (Walker, you're so naïve.)

Karli phoned Sarah and tells her that she wants to talk to Sam alone with the threat that they will come for her and her kids if Sam doesn't show up. Sam learns about this and he agrees to meet Karli expressing that he would not let anything happen to his nephews. On the other hand, Walker asks Hoskins about the serum and their tours on Afghanistan. Hoskins said they could've saved more people if they had the serum.

Sam proceeds to talk with Karli but Bucky would not let him go alone. Karli reveals she wants Sam to either join their cause or "do the world a favor" and let her go. Before Sam could even talk with her, he was alerted by Sharon who tracked Walker and that he was on the move.

Walker reveals that he now has the strength of a Super Soldier, and that presumably, he has taken the last vial for himself. Hoskins was taken hostage by the Flag Smashers. Sam seems to be surprised with Walker's newly found strength. And just when things are going serious, Hoskins, who had just escaped, flies across the room after being kicked by Karli and hits a pillar killing Hoskins instantaneously.

This angered Walker that he chases a Flag Smasher to find where Karli is. In his emotional outburst, he killed the Flag Smasher with the shield, in front of hundreds of people, including Sam and Bucky. (Not great for your PR campaign, Walker, not great.) The civilians were taking his video while he mercilessly kills the Flag Smasher. Indeed, the whole world is watching.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 Theories

In the turn of events, the theory of Walker having the serum turned out to be true. Though it did not happen like in the comics, it seems that Walker has taken the serum in his own volition and administered it on to himself. It is the very same reason why the theory that he turns out to be villain could be true.

See, when Steve got the serum, he made sure to use it to save people. Same with Karli, she uses the serum to help the internationally displaced people. Both Steve and Karli know when to set their feelings aside to put the serum into a greater purpose. As for Walker, his emotional outburst clearly makes him unfit for the serum. Heck, he even used the shield of Cap to kill someone in front of a lot of civilians.

Walker tarnished the shield with violence caused by his emotions. He blemished the legacy of the shield. This brings us to the theory that Sam would be a hundred percent convinced that the shield means more and take it over clearing its very legacy and preserving what Steve has built over the years of his tenure as Captain America. Sam is set to give it a fresh new face with the same ideals as Steve.

As for Bucky, the Dora Milaje referred to him as the White Wolf. A theory is that the series would be the last time Bucky would carry the title of the Winter Soldier and take in the moniker of the White Wolf from thereon. He clearly has a connection to Wakanda and the series could be setting up his helm to become the White Wolf.

With the Power Broker theory and Sharon, it remains in the dark but there are subtle hints in the episode that while she may or may not be the Power Broker, she surely knows his identity. In the phone call she had with Sam, she said that the Power Broker went nuts about the death of Dr. Nagel referring to him as the golden goose that got killed. It points to her being connected to the Power Broker if it isn't her.

Also, with the Power Broker being the judge, jury, and executor of Mardipoor, as referred in the previous episode, Sharon said that things are about to get serious in Madripoor following Nagel's death. It indicates that there is trouble coming, something to watch out for in the next episode. Would the Power Broker's identity be revealed next episode?

And Zemo, he escaped again. While he was extremely helpful with Bucky and Sam for quite a while, he still has some antics in him that he managed to get away again. Now that he's on the run, what has Zemo up on his sleeves. He said in the previous episode that he doesn't leave any unfinished business. He still holds a grudge on the death of his family as seen in this episode when he shared to the kid Turkish delights that it was his son's favorite.

Could this mean that Zemo would be back to finish what he started in the MCU? Could he be getting some revenge again? With his dealings with the Flag Smashers, it was also shown that Zemo can be ruthless. He shot Karli with a cold stare, had Walker not intervened, he could've smashed all the vials of the serum.

Zemo also said that super soldiers are not supposed to exist. Would this mean he would venture out to take down all the super soldiers in existence? Does Zemo know about Isaiah? Given his knowledge about the serum, it's not far that he knows who Isaiah is and his history with the serum. If so, what is Zemo up to?

Another question is this, do you think Sam will take the offer of Karli to join her or will he let her go? Sam showed in the previous episode that he understands what Karli is standing for, just not her means of killing innocent people. Could Sam become a voice of reason to Karli? Knowing that he sees something in her and believes in her, could Sam take the offer?

Lastly, in a recent report, the showrunner of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier teased that a surprise character may be arriving in Episode 5, a character that could be a perfect duo with Thor. Spellman said that the character would have a strong yet grounded personality. Who could the surprise character be? It can be someone we already know or a newcomer.

Some theories even believe that it is old man Steve Rogers helping out his best friends. He fits the bill of the strong and grounded personality. But the hint is that it's someone you could duo with Thor, and recently, Thor's character has had one of the biggest character developments in the MCU. So, who do you think this surprise character would be?
