Marvel fans have been eager to see the fifth episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for it's being rumored to feature a surprise cameo from an exciting character. Showrunner Malcolm Spellman even teased the appearance of an actor who will play a Marvel comics character that has yet to get featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Episode 5 finally confirmed the identity of the mystery cameo and it's not who you think it is.

Episode 5, title "The Truth" determines John Walker's future as Captain America after he mercilessly killed one of the Flag Smashers to avenge the death of Lemar Hoskins during a heated altercation in Latvia which shocked the entire world. Naturally, the U.S. government would intervene and it resulted in Walker being relieved of his duties as the star-spangled man.

The next sequence would see a mysterious woman walk in while John was talking to his wife Olivia. The woman in question, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus identified herself as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and she seems to be interested in working with the former Captain America. Of course, diehard fans of the Marvel comics know her as the iconic villain Madame Hydra.

Fontaine's stunning debut in the series pretty much confirms that Hydra is still looming somewhere just waiting for the opportune moment to strike and inflict terror into the world once again. It's also safe to assume that she's forming a supervillain team of her own to match the Avengers and John Walker is the perfect candidate for the potential team. To put it simply, Contessa Valentina is basically anti-Nick Fury.
