Where Does The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Leave Us?
In the later episode of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Rose Oriana who joined the Shadow Garden under the code name Number 666 returns to her past life as a princess of the Oriana Kingdom.
Her decision to defend her mother and -- presumably -- return to her fiance, causes much unrest for the Shadow Garden.
Mordred, a prominent Diablos cultist, works toward obtraining a destructive relic that could ruin the Oriana Kingdom.
His plans are thwarted when Cid/Shadow comes into the picture, especially when Rose's real plan comes to light.
What Eminence in Shadow Content Is Planned After Season 2?
Although The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 only just ended, the next step is already confirmed.
The official X account of the isekai anime revealed the plan for a movie titled The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes which will be getting a theatrical release in the foreseeable future.
This will likely follow the aftermath of the political struggle in the Oriana Kingdom, while possibly addressing further loose threads.
For instance, an earlier Season 2 episode featured Delta discovering an artifact in the snow.
This seemingly insignificant finding will come back to haunt the Shadow Garden and will herald the ominous return of Aurora the Witch of Calamity.
What Happens After The Movie? The Eminence in Shadow Season 3 Predictions
Fans are loving the newest Eminence in Shadow season and the isekai anime has proved very profitable. As such, we can foresee The Eminence in Shadow Season 3, even if we don't yet have an announcement.
The beloved anime first premiered in October 2022, and the second season aired only a year later.
This is in an impressive timeline, especially in today's saturated and overworked market, where sequels often need to brew for two years or more.
The Eminence in Shadow Season 3 is unlikely to come out in Fall 2023, not only because the movie takes precedence but also because the light novel should ideally have more volumes before another full season is attempted.
If the isekai's anime impressive timeline continues and The Eminence in Shadow: Lost Echoes comes out in late 2024, we could expect Season 3 at some point in 2025.
