The Bad Batch Fans React to Tech's Heartbreaking Confession in Season 2 Episode 9

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 9 may have been an exciting one but it also packed an emotional punch as Clone Force 99 dealt with Echo's departure last week. In addition to Omega venting her feelings about her brothers leaving the team, Tech somehow took down his matter-of-fact facade and faced his own feelings. Not surprisingly, fans couldn't get enough of his heartbreaking confession.

In The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 9, Cid sends Clone Force 99 to a mine she purchased in hopes they could extract ipsium mineral. The team, having lost another member after Echo decided to join Captain Rex, struggled to complete the mission because they were short of one man. Unfortunately, this led to the Marauder being stolen.

Without the ship, the Bad Batch is forced to trek to the nearest spaceport but get caught up in a stampede and a lightning storm that detonates the ipsium they recovered, leaving them trapped in another mine.

Being trapped in the mine leads to tensions between the members as Omega admits to being angry about Echo's departure while Wrecker and Tech blame each other for getting them all trapped. The angry Omega storms off into the mine and discovers more ipsium and when Tech follows her to apologize, they fall down a ravine and become separated from the others.

The time away allows Omega and Tech to talk about Echo and Crosshair and Tech admits that he was also hurt when the two decided to leave Clone Force 99.

The admission was a surprise for some viewers but some fans were glad as it somehow confirmed that Tech has autism.

For now, it is unclear whether the Bad Batch will be able to get their ship back but there is a possibility that they will be able to track down the thieves by the next episode.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 9 is now streaming on Disney+.
