Probably one of the best additions to the Hawkins gang is Max Mayfield with Sadie Sink bringing more action and drama into the series and with Stranger Things Season 4 ending soon, the star reveals that she is uncertain of the fate of her character in the end and she prefers to have it that way.
The creators of Stranger Things, Duffer Brothers, made sure that the path is clear until the end of the series but that does not necessarily include the cast knowing what their fate would be. For Sadie Sink, she revealed in an interview with Variety that she has no idea how Max Mayfield’s story will end and she prefers to be surprised by it as well.
Sadie Sink shared that she prefers to be like Max who doesn't know what will happen to her, "I kind of like not knowing where her storyline is going and just being surprised when I read it, because Max herself doesn't know what's going to happen to her. I guess, why should I?”
Sink added that there is something that comes with the excitement of the unknown, “I genuinely have zero idea where they're going with anything. So I will be excited to read those scripts!"

With Stranger Things Season 4 being the penultimate season before the grand finale of Season 5, the end of the show is nearing for the Hawkins gang but that doesn’t mean the franchise is totally closing because it is possible that there may be spinoffs coming soon.
Max Mayfield is currently with the Hawkins gang dealing with Vecna first-hand as the Upside Down opened with smaller gates through the villain’s plot of killing teenagers in Hawkins. Meanwhile, there are other stories that are happening at the same time in other parts of the world.
There’s Eleven at the Nina Project reactivating her powers and going through painful memories from the time at the Hawkins National Laboratory to restart her abilities. There’s Mike, Will, Jonathan, and Argyle looking for Eleven, and there’s Hopper, Joyce, Murray, and Enzo looking for a way home from Russia.
Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 is arriving on Netflix on July 1, 2022.
