The Star Wars Celebration has been dropping a lot of announcements in relation to the franchise and one of those is the reveal of the title of the Jon Watts project, the series will be called as Skeleton Crew, and Jude Law enters the family of the galaxy far, far away through the upcoming show.

Happening in Anaheim, California, Lucasfilm officially named the Star Wars project of Jon Watts and it would be Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law. Together with Watts, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Christopher Ford will be the executive producer of the series.

Codenamed as Grammar Rodeo, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is expected to arrive in 2023, forming part of the Star Wars slate on Disney Plus and the filming of the movie is definite to start soon.

Jon Watts is known for his iconic Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy under the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He's making the jump from one franchise to another under the huge umbrella of Disney Plus.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will be following the defeat of the Galactic Empire as seen in Star Wars: Episode VI, Return of the Jedi in 1983, and it is the same window in the timeline with The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The three shows are expected to coincide at one point.

Watts looks into capturing a younger audience with the series being a classic Amblin coming-of-age movie from the 80s, only that this would be a galactic version.

Jude Law gets to join the huge franchise of Star Wars in Skeleton Crew. He is known for his roles as the young Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Dr. John Watson in Robert Downey's Sherlock Holmes, and Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is expected for release in 2023 exclusively on Disney Plus.
