New Star Wars Project Reportedly Set for Production This Year

There is little doubt that fans are already expecting at least two or three more Star Wars shows to premiere later this year. However, it looks like Lucasfilm and Disney are already speeding into production with another major project. It has been revealed that a new project is set to begin production in the next few months and it happens to have a bizarre working title!

The information was shared by Production Weekly, which lists upcoming films and shows that will start filming soon. One of the projects is for Star Wars and is titled Grammar Rodeo. There are no additional details about the project other than it will begin production in June 2022.

It's certainly an unusual working title and it doesn't seem to reveal anything about the new Star Wars project. Nevertheless, that hasn't stopped fans from speculating on what to expect this June.

People have pointed out that the project couldn't be Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, or The Mandalorian Season 3 since these shows are expected to premiere this year. Additionally, it has been pointed out that Ahsoka has a completely different working title Stormcrow. Moreover, Stellan Skarsgaard had previously confirmed that Andor Season 2 will start filming sometime in the Fall.

So which Star Wars project is Grammar Rodeo? The best guesses would be The Acolyte, which is being developed by Russian Doll creator Leslye Headland and is set in the High Republic era, and the Lando Calrissian show which is expected to bring back Donald Glover's Solo character. However, it is still unclear if these projects will be moving forward soon. With that in mind, it is best to take this with a grain of salt.

All episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are now streaming on Disney+. The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is scheduled to air on the service on May 25, 2022.
