It has seemingly become a common practice in the MandoVerse to bring in characters from Star Wars' animated shows to live-action in the name of fan service and unsurprisingly, The Book of Boba Fett continued the tradition. Chapter 6 marked the debut of arguably one of the most menacing villains in the galaxy Cad Bane and the said episode seemed to solidify him as a major thorn on the side of Boba Fett and the team he assembled.

However, the unthinkable happened during the finale and saw the abrupt death of Bane at the hands of Boba. The famed bounty hunters settled the score in an old-fashioned duel during one of Chapter 7's climactic moments and just when it looked like Bane had the upper hand against Boba, he was able to turn things around, stabbing him with his gaffi stick in the end.

As shocking as that was, the real question is, is Cad Bane actually dead? After seeing the episode, fans quickly pointed out that the apparatus attached to him which serves as his life support is still actually beeping. Chapter 7 left his true status unaddressed but it would be safe to assume that Bane is still alive. I mean, considering the villain's rich history, Lucasfilm would be foolish to just kill him off that easily without setting him up as a massive threat in the MandoVerse.

The chances of Bane actually returning in shows like Ahsoka and The Mandalorian Season 3 are extremely high when you think about it.
