The Mandalorian Season 3 Has Finished Filming


After The Book of Boba Fett ended its run last month, Star Wars fans are now looking forward to the next shows in the franchise including the third season of The Mandalorian. We're now more than a year away since the second season aired and, while The Book of Boba Fett is basically a spinoff and features characters from The Mandalorian, a lot of fans are still clamoring to see more of Din Djarin's solo adventure. Now, there is a new exciting update for the third season that should delight fans as it marks the next step to the finish line.

The third season of The Mandalorian has finished filming according to a tweet from Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga in the series. The Emmy-nominated actor quoted a tweet regarding the news from the Star Wars Stuff account with the caption "...And what a season of WONDERFULNESS! #BePeace."

While Lucasfilm didn't make the announcement themselves, given that Weathers is involved in the series, we can take his word that the filming for the third season has indeed finally finished. It also comes around five to six months after they reportedly began production last October.

It is great to hear that filming for the third season has wrapped since it indicates that they are moving forward to the post-production stage. It also means that it is very likely that they will be able to air the next season within this year. There is no confirmation yet about the release window or month, but it's been reportedly confirmed that we shall be seeing it sometime by the end of the year.

Just like any other Star Wars projects that are in the works, the exact plot details are still under wraps although we can safely assume that they will continue the events that were set up at the end of The Book of Boba Fett which will revolve around Mandalore. Legendary actor Christopher Lloyd is also set to make a guest appearance. We should be hearing more updates soon.
