Since 2019, the last quarter of the year has been pretty exciting for Star Wars fans thanks to the MandoVerse. This year though, things will be quite different because Din Djarin himself will be stepping aside temporarily to give the floor to the returning Boba Fett who is set to headline his own spinoff series. Titled The Book of Boba Fett, the show was confirmed to be hitting Disney+ during the finale episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 and since then, fans have been hella intrigued.
As it stands, not much is known about the Temuera Morrison-led show but it's expected to take the premiere spot of The Mandalorian Season 3 which was supposedly dropping this December. Now, Star Wars has finally confirmed that The Book of Boba Fett will begin streaming on December 29, Wednesday, a typical release window for Star Wars-related content on the streaming service.
Not only that but they also unveiled the official poster for the show which sees the titular bounty hunter sitting on his throne. We also get a tease that Boba Fett's story is only beginning. What exactly could that mean? Check it out here:

If the latest rumors are to be believed, The Book of Boba Fett is said to be Season 2.5 of The Mandalorian so it's safe to assume that Mando and a few other notable characters from The Mandalorian will pop up in the upcoming series. That doesn't sound all that encouraging, to be honest simply because it might not feel that different overall but I have complete faith in Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni that they'll give us something unique with this new series.
The Book of Boba Fett streams on December 29th exclusively on Disney+.
