Daisy Ridley recently opened up about the "weird feeling" she's having when she films her new Star Wars movie soon.

Last year, it was officially announced that she is set to reprise the role of Rey Skywalker in an upcoming Star Wars movie that will take place several years after the events of the sequel trilogy.

So far, the project remains in development, but it is likely going to be the next theatrical movie in the franchise after the release of The Mandalorian & Grogu in 2026.

In a recent interview, Ridley opened up about her return as Rey Skywalker in the new Star Wars movie and got candid about what she might feel once she is on set again.

"I honestly have had moments where I’m like, 'I don’t know if I remember what I did [as Rey]. It’s really strange. I think the whole thing will feel so different anyway with a totally different team," she said.

"I’m in a very different place than I was. I’m probably going to be one of the adults, and initially, I was the youngest person on set, which is a weird feeling."

Ridley also shared what she is hoping for when she works on the project, especially with a new team involved, unlike the sequel trilogy.

"I would also hope that it’s a lot of the same crew. Obviously, many people shifted, but many people stayed the same through all three films, and there was something wonderful and comforting about that. But I don’t know," she said.

"It all remains to be seen. I would hope it feels natural in some way, but also like – I don’t know – like it’s a new adventure. I’m hoping it’s sort of a bit of both."

There is no doubt that fans are looking forward to seeing how Ridley's return will play out and hopefully it will be a satisfying comeback that will also make up for the flaws of the sequel trilogy.

For now, fans should wait for more news and updates about the project in the coming months as the movie continues to be in development and find out when they will finally move forward to production.
