It's crystal clear that The Mandalorian will be heading in a new direction come Season 3 and if the latest rumors are to be believed, the hit Star Wars spinoff show is set for a major expansion in the coming years. Season 2 brought us the grand comeback of Luke Skywalker to the franchise and while it was initially thought that the Jedi master will have his own spinoff series, his story will reportedly progress within The Mandalorian.

Now, if you think Luke is the only returning character we'll see in the MandoVerse, hold your horses because a new rumor from YouTuber Mike Zeroh suggests the MandoVerse will also be bringing back familiar faces from the prequel trilogy era.

According to his latest scoop, The Mandalorian's fourth season will mark the return of several notable characters from the prequel trilogy headlined by Samuel L. Jackson's Mace Windu who will allegedly meet Ahsoka Tano and Luke Skywalker in a hidden Jedi temple. Zeroh didn't disclose which other characters from the prequels could turn up in Season 4 but he claims that the plot will revolve around the secrets of Order 66.

Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet so take everything with a grain of salt at this point. However, what happened to Mace Windu following the events of Revenge of the Sith has been a huge mystery to a lot of fans and it's worth mentioning that he was only presumed dead. Currently, Jackson is affiliated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe but given the fact that both Marvel and Star Wars live under the same Disney umbrella, the chances of him returning as Mace Windu are extremely high.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to begin filming soon.
