A lot of fans are looking forward to Deadpool 3. Not only because Ryan Reynolds' titular mercenary will finally make his MCU debut, but he will also team up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine making his comeback after last appearing in Logan.
There have also been rumors that other actors from the Fox's X-Men films will also show up for special appearances although Marvel Studios has not made any confirmation despite the scoopers online hinting that it is likely to be true.
Now, we have another clue that suggests that the film's rumored massive cast might be true and it's coming from someone who is close to its production.
Rob Liefeld Teases Potential Major Cameos in Deadpool 3
In a recent interview with Nuke the Fridge YouTube channel, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld was asked about the rumors that there are more X-Men characters that are going to appear in Deadpool 3 aside from Reynolds and Jackman.
While he played coy in his response, Liefeld teased that the film has a massive cast list and fans will be "blown away" by the people that are included in it which suggests that the surprise cameos might be true after all.
"All I’m saying is, I saw that cast list, and I think people are just going to get freaking blown away!" he said.
Liefeld also clarified the reports around the web surrounding Reynolds' adlib in the film and revealed that he met with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige last year to give his input on the different story ideas.
It is interesting to hear that the film has a cast list that we will be "blown away" since it is a huge sign that the X-Men characters are indeed going to make surprise appearances and that wouldn't have been the description for the cast members that we already know are set to appear.
Aside from Reynolds and Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapicic, Shioli Kutsuna, Rob Delaney, Matthew Macfadyen, and Emma Corrin are all confirmed to be part of the film so far.
Recently, Zazie Beetz revealed that she won't be reprising the role of Domino in the film after months of speculations and guesses regarding her potential involvement.
We should be hearing more updates about this film in the coming weeks or months as production is currently ongoing.
