Prince William and Kate Middleton recently traveled with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, via helicopter, and a royal expert accused the couple of defying Queen Elizabeth’s orders.

There are ongoing reports that the monarch doesn’t like it when heirs to the throne ride the same transportation together due to security concerns.

Did Prince William And Kate Middleton Defy Queen Elizabeth After They Traveled By Helicopter Again?

On his YouTube account, Neil Sean accused Prince William and Kate Middleton of defying Queen Elizabeth’s orders.

“It looks like Prince William and Catherine have defied orders from the Queen. This week they were seen boarding a helicopter in the back area of Kensington Palace as they enjoy a short holiday. This left the Queen concerned. It is a royal protocol for people to travel in separate aircraft for very obvious safety reasons. Apparently, the Queen spoke rather firmly to William about this. But on this occasion, perhaps it slipped his mind. When Prince William and Catherine return back from their short break, they will be summoned to Windsor to explain the cause of their actions,” he said (via Express).

Queen Elizabeth And Prince William Had A Serious Conversation About His Helicopter Use

According to The Sun on Sunday (via Marie Claire), the monarch spoke with Prince William six months ago and asked him to stop flying himself, especially when the weather is not good. The Queen is reportedly worried that if an accident occurs, the line of succession would be gravely affected.

“She knows William is a capable pilot but does not think it is worth the risk for all five of them to carry on flying together, and can't imagine what would happen. It would spark a constitutional crisis,” a source said (via People).

But Express stressed that the rules when it comes to flying are unofficial, and they have also relaxed following the birth of Prince William’s children. It is also important to note that Prince George, who is third in line to the throne, is still very young to travel by himself. So, he will always travel with his parents.

Still, a palace official said that the final decision when it comes to who can and cannot fly would depend entirely on the monarch.

“While there is no official rule on this, and royal heirs have traveled together in the past, it is something the Queen has the final say on,” an official said.

Prince William And Kate Middleton's Helicopter Use Makes Them Vulnerable

Royal commentator Richard Palmer had a different take on Prince William and Middleton’s flying on a helicopter together. He told Express that doing so makes the couple vulnerable because there has been an increase in royal spending in the past year.

“They are vulnerable because then you see pictures of the Cambridge family flying up by helicopter. I think the Queen felt, certainly let it be known, that she felt uncomfortable about the entire family traveling by helicopter. I think there was a little bit of official unhappiness about the amount of time that the Cambridges were spending traveling between Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Kensington Palace, their London residence, using helicopters,” he said (via Cheat Sheet).

However, it is important to note that the Queen has never publicly commented on Prince William and Middleton’s helicopter use.
