NCT Lucas Shock: Fans Support WayV Member Following Damaging Scandal

NCT Lucas' fans voiced out their support to the singer following the emergence of the scandal that affected WayV's promotions.

Over a month since the gaslighting and cheating controversies bombarded NCT member Lucas, the K-pop idol remains out of sight and on hiatus.

In a statement written by the 22-year-old after issuing an apology letter, he said he was wrong and felt like he betrayed his fans.

"Once again, I would like to apologise to everyone who may have been disappointed by my actions. I will make sure this never happens again and I will halt all my schedules as of now and take time to reflect on myself," he wrote at that time.

His temporary break from the industry also halted WayV's supposed promotions in China, where most talks came out. SM Entertainment also suspended the release of WayV's single "Jalapeno."

While the resume of their schedule remains unknown, NCT fans continuously post and send heartfelt support toward the K-pop idol.

Lucas is Innocent; Protect Him At All Costs

On Twitter, fans shared tweets alongside the hashtags #LucasIsInnocent and #ProtectNCTLucas, among others.

One fan wrote, "Find someone who inspires you to be joyful, to be positive, to love those around you, to love life. And when that person is hurt, you will know. You will understand why Lumis are fighting so hard for him right now."

Another fan shared a video of Lucas Guerlain Paris ad in Shenzhen this week. Although the scandal happened weeks ago, the brand continues to promote its product with Lucas.

The Twitter user then believed Lucas is innocent and never did what the accusers claimed.

"Brands in China are very quick to drop celebs if their rumors are true. This just means Lucas' rumors are not true and brands are backing him again!" it penned.

No one knows what the future holds for Lucas, but NCT member Ten gave fans a positive light amid the scandal.

In a call with South China Morning Post this week, Ten and YangYang talked about their current goals and assured the fans not to be worried that much. Although they did not mention Lucas, they said they are still WayV no matter what happens.
