BLACKPINK Lisa pushed her song to historic feats following his solo debut.
After BLACKPINK members Jennie and Rose marked their solo debuts, the group's youngest member took over and started establishing her career. She made all BLINKs feel enthralled by her new album as the Thai rapper offered dope and epic music for all.
Following her successful and highly-anticipated debut, Lisa received more milestones and achieved recognitions faster than expected.
BLACKPINK Lisa Becomes Fastest K-pop Soloist To Reach 100 Million Spotify Streams
BLACKPINK's youngest member did not disappoint as her single MONEY continues to break records. This time, it added another title under her belt by reaching the 100 million mark on the music streaming site.
Multiple news outlets confirmed that Lisa's track MONEY from her solo album LALISA officially surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify on October 18. It led her to be hailed as the fastest K-pop solo artist to score the title, as it only took her 37 days to reach the milestone.
The track's popularity reached other social media sites after it became a hit track on video-sharing platforms, including TikTok. She beat her co-member and the previous record-holder, Rose, who once scored the feat through her solo album On The Ground.
Lisa's success follows BLACKPINK's newly set and broken records since their debut. It is worth noting that both Jennie and Rose made their records with their debut albums. Jennie became the first Korean female artist to gain 700 million views on YouTube with her single, Solo.
Meanwhile, Rose's On The Ground's music video previously held the title for the music video by a Korean artist to have 41.6 million views in the first 24 hours. Lisa also broke that record.
BLACKPINK Lisa Enters Global Charts
Outside Spotify, the track is also doing well in several charts and platforms.
On Monday, it officially hit the Top 10 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. The US. MONEY is the only Korean-language song on Billboard's Top 10. It also secured the 10th spot on Billboard Global 200 when it arrived on October 23. Billboard reported that the track received a 28 percent increase in streams and a six percent decrease in digital sales.
Aside from MONEY, Lisa's LALISA also entered the Billboard Global 200 Top 10 when it debuted last month. Overall, she became the third Korean to have multiple Top 10 entries on the Billboard global charts. She follows BTS and her group, BLACKPINK, on the list.
With all these achievements she has accomplished so far, fans could not wait to see her come back soon.
