Prince George watched the Wimbledon live for the first time ever but without his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The 8-year-old had a blast while cheering for Novak Djokovic, who he said he was supporting. Luckily for Prince George, Djokovic won against Nick Kyrgios.

Royal fans speculated as to the reason why Prince George was the only one who watched the Wimbledon live with Prince William and Middleton. Some were convinced that he was there because he was the future king of the British monarchy. Even though he’s still young, previous reports claimed that Prince George already knows that he will be king one day.

Prince Louis Didn’t Attend Wimbledon Because He’s Just 4 Years Old

However, there’s a simpler reason why Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis weren’t at Wimbledon. Since Prince George will be turning 9 years old in two weeks, the live sports event was a treat from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Additionally, Prince Louis couldn’t still attend Wimbledon because only children aged five and above are allowed. In fact, Djokovic wanted to bring his daughter to Wimbledon, but he couldn’t because she’s just 4 years old, like Prince Louis.

“She’s not five years old yet so she wasn’t allowed to watch a match live, but next year hopefully if she’s interested, which she wasn’t so much in tennis, she can watch daddy play live,” Djokovic said.

According to Hello! magazine, it’s very rare for royal fans to see young members of the royal family at the Royal Box at Wimbledon. Years ago, Prince William was photographed at the Royal Box when he was 9 years old. Photos of a young Duke of Cambridge show him clapping and cheering while beside Princess Diana.

Queen Elizabeth Doesn’t Allow Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis To Bring Their Phones To Dinner

Prince William and Middleton’s three children also made headlines recently amid reports that Queen Elizabeth banned them from bringing one item to the dinner table.

While speaking with ITV, Gyles Brandreth said that the monarch doesn’t allow her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to bring their mobile phones to the dinner table.

“The Queen is my role model in all things. One of the things she won’t allow it the table with her grandchildren and indeed her great-grandchildren is mobile phones at mealtimes. She likes a formal, and I too like a fairly formal meal. It doesn’t mean to say you have to have a napkin. But you do have to sit at the table nicely and you certainly mustn’t eat with your mouth open!” he said (via Birmingham Mail).
