In Spare, Prince Harry recounted the reports that he heard following Princess Diana's passing. It was revealed that the late royal's hands were clasped over her chest, and she was holding to a photo of her sons. According to the Duke of Sussex, he and his older brother were possibly the only two men who ever truly loved the late royal.
Without shading King Charles directly, Prince Harry simply said that it was just he and Prince William that loved Princess Diana dearly.
"It was reported that Mummy's hands were folded across her chest and between them was placed a photo of me and Willy, possibly the only two men who ever truly loved her. Certainly, the two who loved her most," Prince Harry wrote (via Entertainment Tonight).

Prince Harry went on to say that he broke down for the first time after Princess Diana's coffin was lowered into the ground.
"For all eternity we'd be smiling at her in the darkness, and maybe it was this image, as the flag came off and the coffin descended to the bottom of the hold, that finally broke me. My body convulsed and my chin fell and I began to sob uncontrollably into my hands," he said.

Princess Diana And King Charles' Troubled Marriage Revisited
Royal fans would know that King Charles got into an affair with Queen Consort Camilla while she was still married to the former Princess of Wales. But during a previous interview, the king made it clear that his affair only started after he realized that his marriage already fell apart for good.
During their separate interviews, as well as Princess Diana's recorded tapes, the former royal couple shared their marital struggles. The mom of two claimed that her ex-husband was dismissive of her struggles. Despite this, King Charles reportedly took Princess Diana to a psychiatrist in 1982.
"The trouble is one day I think some steps are being made uphill only to find that we've slid back one and a half steps the following day," King Charles reportedly told his friend (via E! News).
In Andrew Morton's biography Diana: Her True Story In Her Own Words, Princess Diana reportedly explained why she decided to suck up King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla's affair.
"If I let it get to me I will just upset myself more. So the thing to do is to involve me in my work; get out and about. If I stop to think, I'll go mad," she said.
But in the end, the royal couple's affair, as well as Princess Diana and King Charles' issues, contributed to their split.
