Meghan Markle broke barriers when she first joined the royal family years ago. At the time, Prince Harry was already working with Prince William and Kate Middleton on various causes and initiatives. And things seemed to be working out well for the trio. When Markle joined their team, the two couples became known as the Fab Four. However, their group disbanded a couple of months later.
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's Reaction To One Question During Their Fab Four Appearance Was A Red Flag
While speaking with Express, body language expert Judi James revealed that exact moment when she first noticed red flags within the Fab Four. She said that during the group’s first joint outing for Heads Together, it was already evident that Meghan Markle’s gestures and manners of speaking were different from Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton's.
The Duchess of Sussex was also asked to share her impressions of the Royal Foundation thus far and James said that she noticed Markle locking eyes with Prince Harry, which suggested that she had thoughts that she couldn’t share with the public.
“They also laughed and Harry very obviously threw Meghan a naughty-looking smile that looked as though he was challenging or daring her to speak her mind,” James said.
But then Prince William chimed in and said that all four members of the Fab Four have their own ideas. According to James, the second in line to the throne’s statement sounded like he was a sticking plaster.
“Meghan really did hit the ground running and her speed of speech. Her precision gestures; her measuring gestures and her trait of twirling one finger in mid-air to signal a global perspective gave a glimpse of the wonderfully challenging, driven woman we can now see working for global change,” James said.

Meghan Markle’s Gestures, Manner Of Speaking Were Different From Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton
Other than this, James also discussed how different Markle was from the other members of the Fab Four. After all, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Middleton have already been working as senior royals for years but Markle was just a newcomer.
James said that Prince William, Middleton, and Prince Harry’s approach was traditionally royals, which means that they were speaking slowly. The Duchess of Cambridge was also soft-spoken. And her husband used gesticulation that defined his pace and work ethic.
Prince William, Meghan Markle’s Choice Of Words Differed
The Duke of Cambridge also used words like careful, planning, and preparation, which were very different from Markle’s high-energy word choices like passion, impact, and the phrase, hitting the ground running.
“As Harry sat watching his future wife, biting his lower lip in what looked like consternation, Meghan proved she was so much more than a compliant partner keen to keep to a pace set by the three royals. Her speed of speech was faster, her confidence levels were higher and when she referred to campaign work she was already involved in her global power muscles started to show. She spoke of empowering women and she looked like the poster girl of her own message,” James said.
And just months after their first joint appearance as the Fab Four, it was announced that the Sussexes and the Cambridges will focus on their solo initiatives and causes. After which, it didn’t take long before Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit The Firm.
