Prince Harry recently detailed a physical altercation that he had with Prince William in his book Spare. According to the dad of two, Prince William came at him, and the incident happened so fast.

“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripped my necklace, and knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out,” he wrote.

Royal Family Won’t Respond To Prince Harry’s Claims In Spare, Author Says

Following his shocking revelation, two royal experts weighed in on whether they think Prince Harry would ever reconcile with the royal family after the release of Spare.

According to royal author Jonathan Sacerdoti, it’s unlikely for the royal family to respond to Prince Harry’s claims regardless of how huge his bombshells are in Spare. After all, it has been The Firm’s guiding principle not to react to controversy.

“I think that they have two different agendas, and that’s why sometimes the royal family probably is willing to ride out a storm if it’s not too irrevocably damaging or permanently damaging because they know that in the long war, even if they lost the odd battle, they’re going to come out on top. And I suspect that will be their guiding principle when they’re deciding how to react. But of course, they will have to react here and there, even if not directly to some of the things that are being said,” he told Us Weekly.

Royal Expert Claims Prince William, King Charles Won’t Apologize To Prince Harry

Royal expert Christopher Andersen also said that it’s unlikely for Prince Harry to receive an apology from King Charles and Prince William. The expert also claimed that Prince Harry’s way of wanting to build a relationship with his brother and father seems peculiar.

“Kings and future kings are used to getting what they want. Harry is not, and he wants that to change. It won’t. If Harry wants his father and brother back as he says [in a trailer for his ITV sit-down], he has an awfully peculiar way of going about it. Spare makes any hope of rapprochement impossible,” he said.

King Charles Will Still Invite Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To His Coronation Following Spare Release?

Andersen added that Prince Harry’s attendance at King Charles’ coronation – if he decides to be there – could be his final appearance as a member of the royal family.

And according to Sacerdoti, the Duke of Sussex’s revelations wouldn’t stop King Charles from wanting to invite his son and daughter-in-law to his coronation on May 6.

“I think they will be invited because I think that the king wants to invite them. And I think also not inviting them would look potentially difficult or bad in this ongoing drama. So, I think if the royal family’s interested to try and just quell this soap opera, the best thing they can do is just keep behaving in the proper way,” he said.
