Prince Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship has always been complicated. According to reports, the heir to the throne had some concerns about the appearance of his youngest son following his birth. And Prince Charles also, reportedly, was saddened by the fact that his second child was once again a boy.
But over the years, the relationship between the father and son was seemingly repaired, that is until Meghan Markle entered the picture. Shortly after Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot, the couple quit The Firm. And their decision affected Prince Charles and the British monarchy.
What’s worse is that Prince Harry announced that he would be releasing a memoir. And there are whispers that one of his subjects would be his strained relationship with his dad. Furthermore, the Duke of Sussex will also, allegedly, discuss his equally strained relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles in his memoir.
Prince Charles Wanted To Know Details About Prince Harry’s Memoir, But Duke Refused
On his YouTube channel, royal expert Neil Sean claimed that Prince Charles and Prince Harry's relationship took a turn for the worse in April after the two men were supposed to have a lengthy meeting about Prince Harry’s memoir.
But as it turned out, Markle’s husband refused to divulge details of his book to his father. So, what was supposed to be a lengthy meeting ended up being a very short one.
“According to a very good source, allegedly, Prince Harry refused to detail anything about his forthcoming memoir to Prince Charles. The big sticking point this year, being the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the 75th year of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Charles doesn't want any negativity. According to that good source, Harry refused to talk about what he put down in his book and how this will pan out. It has been pushed back, and Charles will have to wait and see like the rest of us,” Sean said (via Express).

Prince Charles Allegedly Convinced Prince Harry’s Memoir Will Have Bombshells About Royal Family
With this, Sean speculated on the contents of Prince Harry’s memoir. He said that the fact that the dad of two is so tight-lipped could only mean that there will be bombshells.
“Charles then iced his younger son with a very short meeting. He wanted to have a mature, adult conversation about what the book will contain, and whether the royals should be concerned about anything,” he said.
Prince Harry’s Memoir Will Be Released Soon
But Prince Harry must be tight-lipped about his memoir because this is what authors usually do. They keep the key details of their book a secret to encourage readers to buy it when it is finally released.
As of writing, it’s still unclear what Markle’s husband will discuss in his memoir. But in his official statement, Prince Harry said that he would be writing it not as the royal that he was born into but as the man that he became.
