Prince Andrew was recently stripped of his HRH title, as well as his military titles, amid his ongoing sexual abuse lawsuit.

Virginia Roberts Giuffre accused the Duke of York of sexually abusing her while at Jeffrey Epstein’s home in the United States. Prince Andrew adamantly denied the allegations, but the removal of his HRH and military titles means that he would have to face the lawsuit as a private citizen.

However, the recent removal of Prince Andrew’s royal title doesn’t automatically mean that he’s been frozen out by the royal family. In fact, a new report recently claimed that the dad of two could make a public appearance as early as next month.

Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Will Receive Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Medal

On Feb. 6, all members of the royal family will reportedly receive a Jubilee medal to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne. This means that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will also receive special recognition as members of the royal family even if they have already quit their royal duties.

Other recipients include Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise, James, Viscount Severn, and more.

“In common with previous jubilees, it is likely that wider members of the Royal Family would receive the Platinum Jubilee medal... they are funded privately and are commemorative.' It is understood that Andrew, Harry, and Meghan would be entitled to wear their medals with 'civilian dress' if they are invited to an event where the dress code says 'decorations,’” a source told Daily Mail.

Prince Harry Won’t Accept The Medal In Person

The queen is expected to award the members of the royal family in person in the United Kingdom. But it’s unlikely for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to receive the special recognition in person because they are unable to travel to Britain.

Prince Harry is requesting a judicial review of a Home Office decision that prevented him from paying for his own protection officer while he was in the United Kingdom.

A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex said that he feels that it would be unsafe for him and his entire family to travel to Britain without security protection.

Other than the members of the royal family, frontline workers are also expected to receive special recognition from Her Majesty.

However, The Telegraph recently claimed that Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Markle won’t receive the queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal next month.

As of late, the final list of Jubilee medal recipients has not yet been released.

What Happens During Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee?

According to CNN, a number of events will take place throughout the United Kingdom over the year. There will also be a bank holiday from June 2 to June 5 known as the Jubilee weekend.

The holiday will reportedly include a series of public events, community activities, as well as a national moment of reflection to commemorate the queen’s 70th year in service to the throne.

Sandringham House and Balmoral Castle, two of the queen’s private estates, will also join in on the celebration. There will also be a platinum pudding celebration, as well as the BBC’s Platinum Party at the Palace, Big Jubilee Lunches, and more.

Buckingham Palace Wants To Remove Prince Andrew, Prince Harry As Counselors Of State

Elsewhere, Buckingham Palace is figuring out a way how they can remove the role of Counselor of State from Prince Andrew and Prince Harry. Since the two are now regarded as ordinary citizens, they are no longer allowed to hold special positions.

“It is a genuine problem that the Palace is looking to address. Can you imagine the Duke of York having to sign official documents, for example, because the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge were both abroad, and the QueenQueen’sQueen’sQueen’sQueen became ill? It's not an exaggeration to say it could put the monarchy in jeopardy,” a source said.

As of press writing, there are still four Counselors of States which include Prince Charles and Prince William. They were appointed since they are the four adults next in the Order of Succession.

Even though Prince William’s son, Prince George is third in line to the throne, he cannot be appointed as a Counselor of State because he’s only 8 years old.
