Predator Prequel Prey Gets Chilling First Teaser

The first teaser for Prey is finally here. The intense clip from the Predator prequel sets the tone for the highly anticipated new project from 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg!

In the Prey teaser, we see a young girl running through the woods in an effort to escape an invisible threat. As she makes it to a field, she is suddenly grabbed by a boy hiding in the grass with a bow and arrow. As the girl watches in fear, the boy aims his arrow into the woods but it looks like the enemy already has him in its sights and the teaser ends with an ominous sound.

It doesn't show much but it's enough to set the pace for a new battle against the predatory alien that has been hunting humanity for ages. Needless to say, this is going to be an interesting new take on the Predator films and we can't wait to see the latest movie of the franchise later this year.

The official synopsis for Prey reads as follows:

“Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, Prey is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people.

“The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.”

Prey stars Amber Midthunder (The Ice Road, Roswell: New Mexico) as Naru, newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home), and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal). The upcoming film will stream exclusively on Hulu on August 5, 2022.
