During her conversation with Gayle King, Oprah Winfrey said that she hopes the queen's passing will bring the royal family closer together. After all, when her dad died, the same thing happened to her family.

"Well, this is what I think, I think in all families — you know, my father passed recently, this summer, and when all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of, you know, burying your dead, there's an opportunity for peacemaking. Winfrey and Markle reportedly share the same producers on the host's media company, Harpo Productions, as well as Markle's podcast, Archetypes.

"Oprah is invested in this couple, Oprah is invested in the Sussexes, she needs them to succeed. They share producers, you can look at the roster on Meghan's podcast. It's important for Oprah that the Sussexes can continue to ride this Royal wave. And so, of course, she's going to all of a sudden say 'Yes let's all be happily ever after because she's truly invested in this couple," broadcast Kinsey Schofield said (via Radar Online).

In fact, the host was invited to the couple's wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018. And Winfrey also had the opportunity to interview the Duke of Sussex in a Netflix documentary.

Winfrey's recent comments about her hopes for the royal family to reunite aren't really shocking because royal fans were thrilled to see Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Markle together for the first time last weekend.
