Oprah Winfrey is receiving flak due to her close ties and involvement with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Days after the queen's death, the Me You Can't See host also talked about the Sussexes and the royal family's ongoing rift. And this did not sit well with her critics.

During her conversation with Gayle King, Oprah Winfrey said that she hopes the queen's passing will bring the royal family closer together. After all, when her dad died, the same thing happened to her family.
"Well, this is what I think, I think in all families — you know, my father passed recently, this summer, and when all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of, you know, burying your dead, there's an opportunity for peacemaking. And hopefully, there will be that," she said (via People).
Winfrey also weighed on the reports that her conversation with Prince Harry and Markle last year was a "bombshell interview."

Oprah Winfrey Is Invested In Prince Harry, And Meghan Markle And Wants Them To Succeed
Now, some critics are insisting that Winfrey seems to be invested in Prince Harry and Markle and wants them to succeed because it would be a good look for her.
Winfrey and Markle reportedly share the same producers on the host's media company, Harpo Productions, as well as Markle's podcast, Archetypes.
"Oprah is invested in this couple, Oprah is invested in the Sussexes, she needs them to succeed. They share producers, you can look at the roster on Meghan's podcast. It's important for Oprah that the Sussexes can continue to ride this Royal wave. And so, of course, she's going to all of a sudden say 'Yes let's all be happily ever after because she's truly invested in this couple," broadcast Kinsey Schofield said (via Radar Online).
Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle, And Prince Harry Are Not Working On A New Project Together
Despite the broadcaster's revelation, there's no indication that Winfrey and Markle are working on something together. And it's also unclear why they have the same producers. But there's no questioning the fact that Winfrey is good friends with Prince Harry and Markle.
In fact, the host was invited to the couple's wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018. And Winfrey also had the opportunity to interview the Duke of Sussex in a Netflix documentary.
Winfrey's recent comments about her hopes for the royal family to reunite aren't really shocking because royal fans were thrilled to see Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Markle together for the first time last weekend.
